Jeanne Kelly is an accredited commercial mediator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a member of ICMA.  She can act as a mediator nominated by the parties or can represent clients who are participating in a mediation. Commercial

The firm has experience in advising on shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements,  asset purchase, franchising, agency and distribution agreements and commercial borrowing.

Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution
dominic dowling has experience in commercial litigation representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants.  The firm also has experience in Commercial Arbitration.  Both partners are qualified Arbitrators and members of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. They have both arbitrated and mediated in disputes.

Corporate Recovery and Insolvency
dominic dowling has experience and knowledge in the field of corporate recovery and insolvency. The firm has been engaged in the areas of Examinership, Arrangements with Creditors, Liquidations (Voluntary and Involuntary) and Receiverships.  dominic dowling can offer practical professional advice to Creditors, Shareholders, Directors and Landlords.

Employment
dominic dowling represent and advise employers in employment related disputes including appearing before the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Labour Court and the Circuit Court.  It also provides advise in relation to the transfer of Undertakings Regulations, Contracts of Employments, dismissal law (including injunctions), redundancies, employment equality, discrimination claims law and Health & Safety legislation.

Landlord & Tenant
dominic dowling offer a full range of services to landlords including drafting and negotiating commercial leases, acting on behalf of parties in relation to rent reviews, schedules of dilapidations and covenant enforcement. They also represent landlords and commercial tenants in Landlord and Tenant disputes. 

Partnership Law
dominic dowling act for a number of professionals in respect of their partnerships, with a particular focus on medical partnerships. They advise on partnership agreements and limited liability partnerships and they also advise on partnership property, partnership litigation, dispute resolution and dissolutions as they arise.

The firm represents commercial clients and companies in buying and selling commercial properties by Tender, Auction and Private Treaty.

Regulatory Law

Over the past number of years Central Government has in many areas devolved authority to Statutory Regulators. It has happened in Health, Finance, Telecommunications and Law.  Sectoral Regulation has now become a specialist legal area and dominic dowlingwork and advise in relation thereto.

dominic dowlinghave acted as solicitors to the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)  (founded in 1875) for approximately 40 years.  The Pharmacy Act 2007 re-established and constituted PSI as a Statutory Regulator in the area of pharmacy practice. dominic dowlingwas involved in the passage of this Act which amongst other things established a Fitness to Practice regime for pharmacists.  dominic dowlingis advising the PSI in relation to many aspects of the implementation of the new Act and in operating the several control systems set up thereunder including Fitness to Practice. Regulatory work historically and going forward involves the bringing of criminal prosecutions. dominic dowlinghas a proven track record of success in this complex area of law.  dominic dowlinghas also met the other varying legal needs of the PSI including in areas of; Employment, Property, the Constitution and Public and Administrative Law.

The firm has also represented the newly established Health and Social Care Professionals Council and is on their current panel of approved legal advisors.

The managing partner of dominic dowlingwas for 10 years Chariperson of the Appeals Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.  He very recently completed this term of office.  This operates under the oversight of the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board (CARB).  He has engaged with CARB, the Institute and the legal advisors to the Institute in Regulatory matters pertaining to Accountants. He has also been involved in Regulatory matters in the Law Society of Ireland and served on Committees in this regard.  He has acted and been involved in substantial litigation in relation to telecommunications and competition law regulatory matters both in Dublin and in Brussels.
